For the last month this beautiful piece has been showcased at Loft 112 in my city. Today is the final day it will be up and then it will travel to a local community centre to continue being shared. I’m so glad to have been able to share it.
Now, I will share it with the rest of the world here!
SUMMER KISS……
Daylight was breaking the dark morning sky earlier and warmer each day.
The trees began to fill with vibrant greens, buds were filling the empty stalks of last year’s flowers and would soon bloom with bursts of color.
Birds of all species sang upon the branches of every tree and bush.
As I shuffled my way along the path covered by the winter’s remnants of leaves, rocks and dirt, I could feel the light of the warm sun upon my skin peeking through the forest.
I paused to embrace the kiss from above taking a deep breath in. I could taste all that summer was to offer, fresh pine, damp moss and new life engulfed my senses.
Like a sweet nectar it danced deep within me, a welcoming euphoria and revival to my soul.
Let summer come and winter fade soon!
